May Guest Speaker:  Rick Dunne & Joanna Rogalski will be joining us to speak about the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments.

Fundamentally, NVCOG is a planning organization, concerned with transportation, economic development, land use, Brownfields redevelopment, environmental and emergency planning for the Naugatuck Valley Region (NVR). NVCOG sets regional priorities for a variety of federal and state funding programs, oversees regional programs for member municipalities, and provides technical assistance to municipalities, state and federal agencies, local organizations, and the general public.
The Council of Governments (COG) is a forum for the chief elected officials of the nineteen municipalities located in the Naugatuck Valley (NV) region.

Valley Council Logo Unveiled

Submission 2The votes are in and the new Valley Council logo has been unveiled!

The winning logo design was submitted by Lindsay Greene of Norwalk, CT.

From the designer:  This new logo represents the deep care that the Valley Council has for the Naugatuck Valley and how it brings its community together. The abstract heart shape surrounds the Valley and appears to bring all of the elements together.  The rising sun represents the bright future on the horizon for the Valley Council, and the vibrant colors convey the spirit that the Valley Council has and the passion it brings to its diverse work..

Valley Council presents service awards to Suzanne Reilly, William C. Nimons and Valley Community Foundation.
The Valley Council for Health and Human Services (VCHHS) held its Annual Breakfast Meeting & Community Awards Presentation last month at Brownson Country Club, Shelton, CT. Each December the Valley Council recognizes community service providers for their positive impact and significant contributions to the community.
