October Speaker, Ian Parsells, Director of the Derby Neck Library explained how the Council has been looking into ways of cataloging or collecting resources and discussing ways to share this information with Valley residents.  The goal is to have the resource information on the council’s website, and, direct people to the agencies that offer the services they need. As a representative of the Youth Committee, he updated the full council on their activities and initiatives.  The Youth Committee seeks to empower and promote positive youth development opportunities in the Valley by exploring youth issues, coordination targeted efforts, and spotlighting achievements.
