American Red Cross
Patricia Scharr will present a program on  how The American Red Cross  is installing free smoke alarms and providing fire safety education to residents in the Lower Naugatuck Valley. The program has been made possible in part, due to grants from the Valley Community Foundation and the Valley United Way. The smoke alarm installations are part of the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign to reduce the number of home fire deaths and injuries. Residents can schedule a visit by visiting www.redcross.org/Ct/schedule-a-visit or by calling 877-287-3327 and choosing option 1 on the menu to request a smoke alarm installation.

Debra Keel, Director of Re-entry Programs;  will explain two WorkPlace  programs.     1. Incarcerated Veterans Transition Program (IVTP), serving veterans that have been honorably discharged.   2. Face Forward, a program which targets youth ages (14-24) involved in the juvenile justice system and have never been convicted as an adult. For more information –  www.workplace.org
