Pamela Lorenzo, Valley Early Childhood Regional Council Chair, gave a great presentation on Collective Impact and the mission, goals and current activities of VECRC.

Congratulations to Lindsay Greene of Newtown for creating the new logo for the Valley Council.  Pictured left to right:  Susan Agamy, Valley Council Vice Chair; Lindsay Greene, logo designer; Patricia Tarasovic, Valley Council Chair; and John Alvord, Professor at Norwalk Community College’s graphic arts program.  Prof. Alvord presented the Council’s logo contest as a class project through which Lindsay submitted the winning design.

The Naugatuck Valley Health District (NVHD) serves as the official local public health entity for the combined towns of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Seymour and Shelton. NVHD is committed to improving the quality of life for all it serves through the promotion of health, prevention of disease, and by assuring a safe and clean environment. NVHD is made up of three main divisions-Environmental Health, Community Health and Administration.
